Tillandsia Chiapensis x Velutina

A hybrid of Tillandsia Chiapensis originating from the Chiapas region of Mexico, Tillandsia Chiapensis has a bloom spike can grow greater than the length of the entire plant itself, and the plant is beautiful in and of itself, sporting a lilac inflorescence. 

Size: 8-10” tall and not currently blooming.

Clumping: This plant can grow into a beautiful clump over time! Seeing Tillandsias dry out or appear to "die" is normal after it has bloomed and begun birthing little babies around her base. Once you start to see the mother plant dry out, keep her attached to her pups. You can clip her flower off when it dries out, but don't separate the pups to make sure the plant is strong and hearty enough to grow into a big clump over the years. With care, this plant can become a specimen worthy of passing down to your grandchildren.
